Plaque: Lord Byron at rue Ducale
For several days in the spring of 1816 this house sheltered Lord Byron. He was leaving his country which did not recognise his genius, not knowing that he would never return. Here he wrote « Childe Harold's Pilgrimage: Canto 3 » on the Battle of Waterloo.
