The sculpture evokes the 3 lights, morning (grace), midday (kindness) and evening (gentleness). Inaugurated 3 October 1992 on the 20th anniversary of the twinning of Etterbeek with the French town of Fontenay-sous-Bois, in the Val-de-Marnes, near Paris.
